Gansu
Passerby was inspired by Gansu’s variety of colors and its many different natural landscapes.
Gansu’s diverse landscapes include some parts of the Gobi Desert, the Yellow River, as well as some parts of the Silk Road and the Great Wall of China).
The song was inspired by the Rainbow Mountains of Gansu, which looks like an everlasting art piece shaped by nature.
Passerby’s music video combines local Daoist ritual singing together with the imagery of Buddhist temples. As he traveled in Gansu province, he learnt the importance of people living in harmony together from Gansu province, the same way that art and nature coexists to create beauty

“Silent rainbow” is the 5th release of Project 34, that will include 34 releases each of them Collaboration of Passerby with an artist that represent one of the 34 different regions of China.
Passerby: “When I saw the colors of Gansu rainbow mountains, I couldn’t believe my eyes: It seemed like an art piece, and proved that nature may sometimes be the most creative artist.
The rainbow mountains reflect Gansu very well, it captures the diverse beautiful landscapes that changes whenever you go.
Deserts, rivers, mountains all in one province, as beautiful as a rainbow.”
